Liquid Force Founder Tony Finn stated "Everyone at Liquid Force is very
excited about the Free For ALL! When we started wakeboarding, we didn't want
it to be a sport where you need to buy an $80,000 boat to participate. My
first wakeboard boat cost $1,000 and I shared it with 2 other people!" He
continued, "Now, with Cables, it's a lot cheaper to enjoy and experience
wakeboarding!! We really hope lots of people come out and have a great time
and RIDE FOR FREE ALL DAY!!!"

Check the schedule for the park nearest you, contact them to sign up, and get
ready for a day of FUN on us!!

Santee Cable Park Delayed Again

After the meeting on Weds, I wanted to post a quick recap and follow up.  There was a huge turnout for the City Council meeting in Santee, with people both for an against the issue.  The developer of the project, Trevor Sudweeks was there, along with the entire board of the Padre Dam who are sponsoring the project.  We heard a lot of good opinions (and some not so good ones) from everyone, for and against.  It got heated a few times, but the City Council did a decent job of keeping it on track and on topic.

We had some WBSD members that spoke in support of the park, Gary from DBG, Josh and Geoff from Wakesports, even Dave from WakeWorld was there speaking in support.  People came down from as far as Huntington Beach and carlsbad.  It was cool just to see the community pull together for something we all know would be beneficial.

Unfortunately, after more than 4 hours of deliberation, no vote was had, and no decision made.  Changes to the layout and plan were proposed to the developer and Padre Dam committee, and we will now have to wait for them to change the proposal to meet the City’s demands.  We’ll see what happens…maybe we will see a vote in a couple more months?

There are good threads on our forum and the WakeWorld forum discussing the issue:
