I am game to come back here for swimming, celebration beers,, couple games of pool, whatever. Bring some boardshorts, and whatever you want to drink. Hit me up at the meeting for directions. Only about 4 miles from the meeting.

Well, after 4 1/2 hours of heated discussion, the Santee Council still did not come up with a decision. But, it looks like they are seriously considering approving the park with a few conditions. It was super interesting (to me anyway) to hear the concerns on each side and see how the process worked. People are passionate on both sides of the table and I do not envy the council's job.
On a good note, at least they did not throw the idea out all together. Everyone agrees that the park is an awesome idea and will be great for kids and adults alike... the residents just do not want it so close to their homes. Guess we wait and see what happens when the developers re-do some plans and present to the council again. Fingers crossed!!
