This Saturday, November 22, T&C Wake Company based out of Fort Myers, Florida, is having its first annual River Jam. T&C Wake Company is a predominately online based store that sells everything that the wake industry has to offer. Their event this weekend is expected to have a massive turnout with all the big sponsors such as Hyperlite, Ronix, Byerly, Jetpilot, and many more. Also, pro riders such as Shane Bonifay, Danny Harf, Adam Errington, Ryan Doyle, Mark Weikel are just a few riders that will be there shredding all day long. T&C is going to break out all their new 09 products to demo for anyone who wants to check it out. This all day session is supposed to be one of the biggest off-season wakeboarding events of the year in the US and Fuel TV is going to be there so we will hopefully be able to check out the highlights soon.

MasterCraft announced that its president and CEO, John Dorton, has been elected and appointed to key leadership roles in the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA). These appointments include chairman of the Boat Manufacturer’s Division (BMD) and being voted on to the NMMA Executive Committee. “It is always an honor to be recognized by the industry and my peers in this way,” said Dorton. He went on to say, “But more importantly, I look forward to taking my years of advocacy and passion for this industry and working with the NMMA to help its members achieve financial success, especially as we move through and the eventual exit out of this economic downturn.” As chairman of the NMMA Boat Manufacturers Division, Dorton will help set the agenda for the industry steering committee. The BMD provides public policy advocacy for marine manufacturers at the government level, promotes boating among consumers, advocates improved customer satisfaction and serves to increase cooperation and unity throughout the industry.

Company wakeboards, which debuted its brand launch at the Surf Expo in September 2008, recently announced that the new board brand will release in mid-November a limited-edition run of its first 100 boards off the press. Company wake, headed by Justin Stephens, is an up and coming brand with tremendous potential that everyone was extremely excited about at the Surf Expo. Fitting called the Super Limited 138, the new board features a special edition graphic and each of the 100 first-run boards will be numbered and signed by Stephens.
